Credits, Rebates and Consumer Specials for Energy Savings 


Iowa Geothermal Association - geothermal heat pump tax credit
SF 2342 enacted a series of Iowa tax incentives for residential geothermal incentives. Geothermal heat pumps installed on residential property in Iowa are eligible for a tax credit equal to 20% of the Federal Tax Credit.
ENERGY STAR Partners - special offers and rebates
Enter your zip code to find out if there are any special offers or rebates currently available on ENERGY STAR qualified products in your area. Special offers may include: sales tax exemptions or credits, rebates on qualified products, and/or recycling incentives.
Black Hills Energy - efficiency rebates for Iowa residents
Rebates for: appliance, furnace replacement, home envelope, innovative heating technologies, water heaters, and thermostat & furnace maintenance.
LES (Lincoln Electrical System) - Certified Home Energy Rating Service
LES customers can earn LES Green Credit when you purchase eligible equipment and/or services from them on or after Feb. 1, 2011.
M.U.D. (Metropolitan Utilities District) Rebates
Available natural gas appliances or equipment rebates are available on M.U.D.'s website.
Mid American Energy - residential equipment rebates for Iowa residents
MidAmerican Energy's EnergyAdvantage® Residential Equipment program offers rebates to Iowa customers who purchase and install qualifying heating, cooling and water heating equipment and qualifying appliances fueled by natural gas and/or electricity supplied directly by MidAmerican.
OPPD (Omaha Public Power District) - residential energy efficiency rebate program
Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) offers energy credit refunds to its residential customers for installing high-efficiency heat pumps through the Energy Conservation Program.
